Our Story

In October, Clint Smith Distributing was purchased by Lone Star Gas, Inc., owned by Jason and Amy Bannowsky—local residents with deep roots in the communities we serve. While ownership has transitioned, the business continues to operate as Clint Smith Distributing, with Clint Smith remaining involved to ensure a smooth transition and continued quality service.

For over 35 years, Clint Smith Distributing has been a trusted name in propane delivery, serving homes, ranches, and businesses across the region. That reputation was built on reliability, hard work, and strong customer relationships—and it’s a legacy we are committed to carrying forward.

Jason and Amy Bannowsky were both raised in the Texas Hill Country and have strong ties to the people and industries that make this region what it is today.

Their family has been ranching in Kimble County for over 100 years on the same land, giving them firsthand knowledge of the needs of rural homes and operations. In addition, Jason has spent more than 30 years in the wool and mohair industry, working closely with producers throughout the region.

Amy was raised in Menard, Texas, where she now serves as Superintendent of Menard ISD. Together, they are raising their family in the same communities they now serve—further strengthening their commitment to investing in the people and places that shaped them.

Our focus remains the same as it has always been—providing reliable service, building strong relationships, and taking care of our customers. We understand how important dependable propane service is, whether it’s for your home, your ranch, or your business, and we take that responsibility seriously.
